About the festival
Founded in 2007, the ArcelorMittal Luxembourg Foundation supports projects with strong social, cultural, and environmental impact in Luxembourg. Guided by values of solidarity and responsibility, the Foundation works with local actors to promote inclusion, education, culture, and sustainable development.
In line with this mission, the Foundation launched the AFLAA – ArcelorMittal Foundation Luxembourg Art Award, the country’s first art prize dedicated to street art. The competition supports young emerging artists while highlighting Luxembourg’s industrial heritage through socially engaged urban creations.
Through AFLAA, industrial sites are transformed into open-air canvases, giving contemporary street art new public visibility. The Galerie Go Art, a project partner, hosts the award ceremony and showcases the winning artists in dedicated exhibitions, extending the momentum of the competition within an iconic Luxembourg cultural venue.
The initiative reflects the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to fostering creativity, community engagement, and the integration of contemporary art into public spaces.
