Parcours Street Art
Belgium
Open Call Deadline:
Festival Date:
For more than a decade, the City of Brussels Culture Service has actively supported urban art in public spaces through its initiative PARCOURS Street Art. Since its launch by the Aldermanship for Culture, the project has transformed Brussels into an open-air museum, with over 150 works created across the city.
The program is guided by three core values:
Decentralisation – artworks spread across all neighborhoods of Brussels, not just the center.
Accessibility – public art that requires no prerequisites to be experienced.
Fair recognition – ensuring artists receive fair pay and professional acknowledgment.
Projects emerge through direct commissions, collaborations with non-profits, and proposals from artists themselves. Beyond murals, PARCOURS also develops workshops and partnerships with schools and associations, fostering dialogue around the role of street art in society.
