The Crystal Ship

The Crystal Ship is Europe’s largest festival for art in public space, held annually in Ostend, Belgium. Since its launch, the festival has brought together world-renowned artists from Belgium and abroad, resulting in more than 80 monumental murals and site-specific interventions that can be explored year-round across the city.
In 2025, The Crystal Ship sets a course for change, embracing innovation while staying true to its DNA. This edition takes “change” as both its guiding theme and source of inspiration, inviting artists to reflect on transformation in all its forms—social, cultural, environmental, and personal. Each work becomes a story of growth, challenge, or hope, turning walls into spaces for dialogue and reflection.
By combining large-scale artworks with a forward-looking vision, The Crystal Ship continues to shape Ostend into an open-air museum, transforming the city into a place where art, community, and imagination meet.
